We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a Contract to permanent basis in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a large workforce, including union employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and compliance, as well as exceptional organizational skills to handle high-volume payroll operations.

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including reviewing, verifying, and processing timecards for hourly employees.
• Ensure all timecards are submitted accurately and on time for payroll processing.
• Perform thorough checks to validate the accuracy of payroll data before final submission.
• Handle payroll responsibilities for a workforce of 600-750 employees, including union labor workers.
• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Generate and distribute payroll reports as required.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure adherence.
• Assist with system updates and improvements to streamline payroll operations.
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
• Expertise in handling payroll for large organizations, specifically with over 500 employees.
• Familiarity with union payroll processes and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing payroll data.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and employees.
• Proficiency in payroll software and related systems.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance and legal requirements.
