Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment and support essential payroll operations.

Responsibilities
  • Input and maintain employee payroll data, including wages, bonuses, deductions, and address updates, within the payroll system.
  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Reconcile payroll records with general ledger accounts and monthly bank statements.
  • Issue and reissue checks or direct deposits as needed, addressing any payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process federal and state payroll tax deposits and filings.
  • Manage attendance records and prepare tax forms, including W-2s.
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy and ensure all required documentation is complete.
  • Collaborate with HR to process payroll updates related to new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
  • Oversee the distribution of payroll checks and ensure timely electronic payments.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, and other payroll matters.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle payroll for 101-500 employees.
  • Proficiency in managing payroll tax deposits, reporting, and returns.
  • Familiarity with handling garnishments and other payroll deductions.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal payroll tax regulations.
  • Experience with payroll systems and related software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively addressing employee questions and collaborating with internal teams.
