We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple provinces, ensuring compliance with Canadian payroll regulations. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days of in-office presence each week.

• Manage and process semi-monthly payroll for employees in British Columbia and Alberta using Ceridian Dayforce.
• Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, benefits, deductions, and taxes in compliance with Canadian payroll standards.
• Maintain and update payroll records within the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate payroll reporting and reconciliation.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrolments, changes, and terminations.
• Generate and distribute payroll reports as required by management.
• Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and ensure organizational compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on payroll processes, as necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
• Proficiency in using Ceridian Dayforce and other HRIS systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws, with authorization to work in the applicable region.
• Experience managing payroll for 100-500 employees, including benefit administration.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for handling employee inquiries and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
