ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experienced payroller capable of manually working out gross to net pay.
  • Excellent knowledge of all HMRC legislation (RTI, NLW, Holiday Pay, Working Time Regulations)
  • Customer service ethos.
  • Numerate and data literate.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate appropriate message/information confidently and effectively with good interpersonal skills – at all levels, with the utmost tact and diplomacy.
  • Team ethic, working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.

    Desirable Skills & Experience

  • A recognised payroll qualification

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

This role is to support the BaU of a busy payroll function in an end-to-end process as part of a team. This can be high pressured at times and requires attention to the detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an end-to-end excellent payroll service to the business.
  • Support delivery of operational excellence.
  • Resolve all payroll-related queries with agreed timescales.
  • Support the payroll provision for RS Group PLC in the UK&I in line with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Pay employees accurately and on time
  • Work effectively with Finance, PSS, Reward and the Pensions teams.
  • Add value to payroll related and associated activities by continually critically reviewing and analysing processes on order to develop and maintain an innovative payroll service.
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers and peers.
  • Ensure confidentiality in relation to all aspects of payroll activities in line with GDPR.
  • Act as a role model regarding RS Values.
  • Manage set payroll tasks within timelines.
