Our international HR Team is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join us! Together with another Payroll Specialist you are responsible for the correct execution of the monthly payroll and the timely payment of salaries in the European countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal) for (in a total 560+ employees. As well you will be the point of contact for all sort of queries related to salary and pay slip for the countries in scope.
The payroll team is the key point of contact regarding absence management (Workday Core HR system), processing 30% ruling calculations, setup and maintenance of insurances and benefits.

The Challenge

  • Ensure the correct and timely preparation of the monthly cycle for European countries, in line with company guidelines, procedures and local regulations.
  • Process and validate the monthly payroll input and the results and ensure correct mutation processing in function of salary payments.
  • Compute and process wages, deductions and garnishments while resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure payments are made timely and accurately for all team members.
  • Ensure a smooth and timely completion of the Year-End payroll close and issuance of all accounting documents for the financial Year-End as well as employee’s yearly statements (“jaaropgaaf”)
  • Ensure fast and accurate response to employees’ payroll-related queries. Ensure compliance with company policies and other legal legislation.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of payroll vs. HR data and external providers records such as pension providers.
  • Support good preparation and hosting of internal and external audits.
  • Identify, lead, and execute projects regarding payroll process & system improvements.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree and a completed PDL and / or VPS certification.
  • 1-5 Years relevant experience, preferably acquired in an international environment.
  • Hands on experience with payroll systems and HRIS (ADP Perman, Acerta, Workday is a plus)
  • Excellent command of Microsoft office suite in particular Excel.
  • Accurate math and strong analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of local Social Security, taxes and employment legislation.
  • Dutch speaker with good understanding of English both verbal and in writing, another EU language would be considered a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and priorities setting.
  • Proactive attitude.
