Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-cycle payroll processing while understanding the impact of multi-state payroll regulations and overall compliance. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Process multi-state payroll for 300+ employees on a biweekly or semi-monthly basis Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, adhering to deadlines Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality Process and audit daily HR Changes including but not limited to New Hires, Terminations, Tax Changes, and Direct Deposit Changes Responds timely and appropriately to phone and written employee inquiries and associated requests regarding payroll issues and processing Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Prepare, review and distribute payroll reports Perform other assigned tasks and projects What You Need to Succeed: High School graduate or equivalent is required Three (3) or more years of full-cycle payroll processing experience required FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is preferred Knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and record keeping Daily use of Excel, how to create and/or navigate V-Lookup & pivot tables Experience with Paylocity or other cloud based HRIS system is required Customer service oriented: high interpersonal skills with effective listening; ability to communicate to key stakeholders across multiple levels of the Company Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, consistently meet deadlines, and proactively anticipate & resolve issues with minimal day-to-day direction Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements The Physical Requirements: This role requires full-time, in-office attendance. Remote or work-from-home options are not available Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus) This is largely a sedentary (seated) role. However, light to medium work exerting up to 25 pounds of force to move objects may occasionally be required This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
