POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Shared Services Alliance (SSA) is a partnership between the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio, the Educational Service Center of Medina County and the Educational Service Center of Lorain County. SSA was designed to provide a wide range of business and operational services to local school districts. This position would be hired by the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio to serve as the Payroll Specialist for NCSSA. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for assisting in performing NCSSA’s portfolio of payroll services as requested by member districts. The Payroll Consultant may be assigned to work in various district offices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• A minimum of 2+ years payroll processing experience
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience
• Must have experience with payroll, garnishments, and automated timesheets
• Experience with payroll tax issues
• Able to travel and support multiple entities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues and administration.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as reference manuals, Board policies and procedures manuals.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
