QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role in a finance or HR department.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Bright Pay or similar (Sage or QuickBooks)
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in dealing with HMRC and attachment of earnings and pensions.
  • A good understanding of human resources practices related to payroll processing is preferred.
  • experience of running multi payrolls.

Responsibilities

DUTIES

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using “Bright Pay”
  • Maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring all data is up to date and accurate.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
  • Handle accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with the human resources department to address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Prepare reports and analyses related to payroll metrics for management review.
  • Assist in the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades as needed.
