Description University Physicians' Association, Inc. is looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist. Job Summary: The Payroll Specialist will oversee the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The Payroll Specialist will process biweekly and monthly payrolls and maintain employee time records. This position reports to the Director of Finance. This position provides an extensive benefit program which includes: Remote Work Opportunities Bonus Opportunity Casual Work Environment Insurance Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, and Sick Pay Onsite Fitness Center Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k with Company Match + immediate vesting Duties/Responsibilities: Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information. Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions. Address and resolve employee questions relating to the payroll system. Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge. Work directly with clients to achieve organization goals as required. Generates and maintains reports as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll process. Proficient with Paylocity, preferred, not required. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Five years of experience in payroll preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
