Overview Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Payroll Manager, responsible for processing and administering payroll and benefits. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities Essential Functions: Administers and maintains employee payroll records using ADP software Audits time cards, prepares data, and processes bi-weekly payroll; verifies for accuracy Calculates and administers any severance or disability supplement payments Administers attendance records through various systems Processes terminations including insurance adjustments, vacation payouts and any advance payments or tuition reimbursement calculations Maintains petty cash, including replenishment, attending window and record keeping Issues and records manual checks as required Coordinates with HR on employee maintenance and benefits End of year special reporting as needed Prepares journal entries Secondary Functions: Acts as backup to the Senior Payroll Specialist Budget Managed (if applicable) N/A Internal Networking/Key Relationships To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as: Human Resources team General Accounting team Accounts Payable team IL/Werfen employees External Auditors Werfen Internal Audit team (Spain) External payroll vendors Skills & Capabilities: The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit the following skills and capabilities: Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information required, and to work independently Must be dependable and reliable Requires well developed oral and written communications skills Attention to detail Working knowledge of excel Ability to interpret data from various systems Qualifications Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position: Education: Associates degree highly desirable; equivalent job experience acceptable Experience: Minimum three years of related multi-state payroll experience utilizing ADP (Workforce or Pay Expert) payroll applications Experience with SAP or similar application, preferred Additional Skills/Knowledge: Language: Fluency in English required International Mobility: Required: No Travel Requirements: Up to 5% of time The annual base salary range for this role is currently $70,000 to $90,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.
