JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our small but growing, friendly team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various payroll and accounting software. The Payroll Supervisor will require a working knowledge of current tax and national insurance rules, statutory payments, CIS scheme and the workings of holiday payments calculations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a payroll supervisory role or similar position within an HR or accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software, including Brightpay and other relevant platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all client’s employees.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Process CIS schedules for both deductions and suffered payments.
  • Conduct data entry tasks with precision to ensure all payroll information is accurate.
  • Analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures as necessary
  • Provide support for accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
