WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to support and lead day-to-day payroll operations across Canada and the U.S. This role will supervise payroll processors, manage outsourced partnerships, and help ensure compliant, accurate, and efficient payroll delivery. Reporting to VP Finance you will be a critical resource in system Dayforce optimization and team guidance.

What you will do

  • Supervise payroll processing for Canadian and U.S. employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Act as Dayforce SME, optimizing usage and supporting system reporting and audits
  • Guide, support, and mentor payroll specialists and/or outsourced processors
  • Oversee data integrity, earnings, deductions, vacation balances, and time tracking
  • Coordinate year-end activities (T4, RL-1, W-2, etc.) and audit preparation
  • Support compliance with federal, provincial, and state payroll legislation
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure proper alignment with GL and HRIS data
  • Maintain employee confidentiality and promote payroll process integrity
  • Assist with resolution of tax filing discrepancies and payroll account maintenance
  • Stay current with evolving payroll legislation and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Prepare payroll-related communications and provide exceptional internal service

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • In-depth experience with both Canadian and U.S. payroll (Ceridian Dayforce required)
  • Knowledge of year-end reporting requirements (T4, RL-1, W-2, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Payroll certification (PCP/FCP or CPP) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or HR-related field preferred
  • Bilingual in French and English (English required to support our U.S. operations)
