Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing the weekly payroll for salaried, full time, part time and casual staff.
  • Manage payroll-related queries and issues i.e., fresh service ticketing system
  • Liaise with HR regarding staff appointments, terminations, conditions of service and other relevant matters.
  • Processing of new staff, staff status changes and terminations
  • Checking and maintaining employee payroll data.
  • Maintain data accuracy within
  • Preceda
  • and associated systems.
  • Efficient and accurate high-volume transactional processing including but not limited to commencement of new employees, terminations, leave, allowance, and deductions.
  • Opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in payroll information data manipulation and loads, data integrations and data workflows.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:

  • Payroll, financial services or administrational experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written and listening).
  • Previous experience working to deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of employment legislation and how it relates to accurate payroll management and processes.
  • Experience with Preceda, Kronos HCM, and Dimensions is highly regarded, but not mandatory as you will be provided with on the job training.
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement
