What you will be doing Due to internal secondment, an opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on a 6-month Fixed Term contract commencing immediately. This position will provide payroll and benefit related services, systems and processes across our businesses in Australia. Your key responsibilities will include: Lead payroll operations ensuring accurate, timely payments (salary, superannuation, taxes, Centrelink, bonuses). Manage relationships with external vendors (ATO, Centrelink, super providers). Advise on complex payroll and employment matters, interpreting legislation, policies, and reporting requirements. Partner with external payroll provider on technical issues (terminations, STP reporting). Maintain payroll inbox and resolve queries. Ensure compliance with company policy, industrial instruments, and agreements. Safeguard payroll and time/attendance systems in line with legislative and policy changes. Develop governance structures and processes for payroll, time & attendance, and incident management. Prepare reports and trend analysis using SAP and Excel. Research and implement improved employee benefits; participate in committees as required. Oversee General Ledger reconciliations and payroll-related queries. Who we are looking for You are an experienced payroll professional with at least 10+ years relevant experience gained at a Senior Payroll or Management level and can demonstrate success working in complex matrix style organisations. As an advanced user of SAP and Success Factors (Employee Central) you have had exposure in using automated time sheet systems. Intermediate Excel skills are essential (V-Look ups, pivot tables, SUMIF’s) and you can interpret Enterprise Agreements for salaried and wage-based workforces. With an exceptional customer service ethos, you are an exceptional problem solver with sound time management, organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. You are flexible and adaptable as you work across all levels of the organization and appreciate the highly confidential nature of your role. Ideally you are based in either Sydney or Adelaide with consideration also being given to candidates in Brisbane or Melbourne.
