AS A PAYROLL & TAX SPECIALIST, YOU AND YOUR TEAM WILL ENSURE ERROR-FREE AND TIMELY SALARY PAYMENTS TO ALL WUR EMPLOYEES — BOTH IN THE NETHERLANDS AND FOR OUR EXPATS WORLDWIDE. As a Payroll & Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for the Dutch payroll administration and for the support of about 30-50 expats per year. You do this together with a colleague and an external specialist. You interact directly with authorities such as the Tax and Customs Administration, the pension fund and insurers. You will also work closely with colleagues from HR and international experts.
In short: a specialist, varied position with international impact.

Your duties and responsibilities include:

  • You are responsible for correct and timely payroll administration at home and abroad (four entities, including internships) and for the services to expats (Working Abroad Services);
  • You advise on laws and regulations regarding salary and employment conditions and ensure correct application;
  • Informing and advising managers and employees about rules, processes and use of the online knowledge base;

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between € 3.234 and € 5.273 for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (Scale 10).
Additionally, a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. As for your contract we offer you a one-year contract with the intention to extend it to a pemanent contract. Of course, we are happy to have a conversation with you if you have any questions about this.

  • Minimum HBO working and thinking level and up-to-date knowledge of Dutch wage and tax legislation (PDL or VPS);
  • Experience with payroll software and HR systems; familiar with pensions and social insurance;
  • Aware of international differences in laws and regulations, affinity with expat administration;
  • Experience with configuring, testing and implementing payroll software in a complex organization (multi-collective labor agreement);
  • Good command of Dutch and English (at least B1); possibility of language training through WUR.
