The Tax Associate provides core payroll tax compliance services for our clients, including:

  • Prepare payroll tax returns for several assigned states and workpapers in Microsoft Excel;
  • Research new state regulations and ensure that all filing requirements are met.
  • Investigate and resolve state and federal deficiency notices;
  • Communicate with the Customer Relations, New Accounts Processing, and Payroll Processing teams in order to respond to client Incidents and inquiries;

A crucial ability for this position is self-discipline to consistently follow Tax Department and state compliance procedures. The Tax Associate should also demonstrate initiative to learn and implement new rules and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Able to produce accurate accounting reports and workpapers
  • Experience: 2 years+ payroll processing, accounting, or tax experience
