Description

PAYROLL & TAX COMPLIANCE

  • Manage and process multi-state, multi-location payroll in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Partner with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for all employees.
  • Serve as a back-up payroll processor when needed.
  • Ensure proper calculation, withholding, and reporting of all payroll taxes.
  • Reconcile and submit payroll tax filings and payments on time to government agencies.
  • Stay informed on wage, hour, and tax regulations in all operating states.
  • Conduct payroll tax audits and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting on tax reconciliations, year-end reporting, W-2s, and ACA filings.

TRAINING & SUPPORT

  • Train payroll, HR, and management staff on payroll processes, tax requirements, and HRIS usage.
  • Act as the go-to expert for payroll and HRIS issues.
  • Deliver excellent service to employees regarding payroll and benefits questions.
    What We’re Looking For
-

Experience: 5+ years in payroll and HRIS, with emphasis on payroll tax compliance and multi-state processing.

  • Systems Expertise: Proven track record with ADP Vantage or similar enterprise HRIS.
  • Knowledge: Strong grasp of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Preferred Background: Hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations experience.
  • Certification: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and database reporting; Access a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines; excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
