Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll tax processes using Workday HCM and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance across multiple U.S. jurisdictions and business entities.
  • Reconcile and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings such as 941s and W-2s.
  • Maintain accurate employee tax setup and resolve discrepancies related to multi-state work locations.
  • Manage agency accounts, registration, tax rates, and tax profiles across multiple FEINs.
  • Partner with internal teams to implement configuration changes, process updates, and payroll tax system enhancements.
  • Lead audit responses, agency inquiries, and manage amendments and notices.
  • Stay up to date on tax law changes and assess their impact on operations and compliance.
