JOB TITLE: PAYROLL TAX SPECIALIST

Duration: Temp-to-Perm (Hybrid)
Location: Montreal, QC
Shift Time: 8am to 5pm
Bilingual in French is mandatory

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or related field.
· Canadian Payroll Compliance Practitioner (CPP) designation.
· 2+ years of payroll tax experience, ideally with ADP GlobalView.
· Multi-province payroll processing experience.
· Strong critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization and with external partners.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hou

Responsibilities

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Canadian payroll tax regulations.
· Review, audit, and correct payroll tax data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Act as a point of contact for escalated payroll issues and inquiries from employees, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
· Collaborate with internal teams (Benefits, Compensation, HRBP, Legal, Compliance, Store Operations, Accounting, IT) and external vendors.
· Track, respond to, and update payroll tax notices in ADP.
· File Powers of Attorney (POAs) and obtain tax portal access across all jurisdictions.
· Support payroll-related activities tied to mergers, acquisitions, and account closures.
· Maintain historical payroll data and generate reports from ADP GlobalView as needed.
· Protect the confidentiality and security of employee records.
Basic Qualifications
· Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 2+ years of HR or payroll experience.
· Experience with reporting, data analysis, or payroll processing.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
· Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
· High attention to detail and accuracy.
· Trustworthy with sensitive information.
· Team-oriented with strong communication and active listening skills.
· French Language required
