POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Payroll Tax Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll tax compliance across multiple states. This role is essential to ensuring timely and accurate payroll tax filings, payments, and registrations for our growing portfolio of facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience in payroll tax processing and compliance
Proficiency with multi-state payroll tax filings and tax registration processes
Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage tax correspondence
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus

Responsibilities

File and pay periodic payroll taxes (weekly, biweekly, or monthly as required)
Prepare and submit quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, including Forms 941, 940, W-2s, and other applicable filings
Register new entities for payroll tax accounts at the federal, state, and local levels
Maintain current knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
Monitor and reconcile payroll tax accounts and resolve any discrepancies
Respond to tax notices and coordinate resolutions with tax authorities
Collaborate with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure compliance and accuracy
Support payroll tax audits and provide required documentation
