The Global Shared Services (GSS) organization supports world-class HR and payroll operations across regions. Role Overview The Payroll Team Lead at General Mills will own end-to-end regional and global payroll delivery, with a strong focus on India payroll. The role serves as the primary escalation point for Payroll Vendors, HR, and Finance, leads a payroll team, ensures compliance, and drives service excellence and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end payroll processing for supported markets with accountability for accuracy, timelines, and compliance Act as L3 escalation and liaison between Payroll Vendors, HR, and Finance Ensure payroll validations (gross-to-net, bank files), SLA/KPI delivery, and risk mitigation (SOX, data privacy) Own payroll MIS, dashboards, reconciliations, audits, and year-end activities Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement Coach, develop, and engage the payroll team Must-Have Experience & Skills 7–9 years payroll experience; multi-country exposure preferred 5–7 years of team handling experience Strong India payroll & statutory compliance knowledge Vendor management and stakeholder management experience Exposure to Workday / ADP (preferred) Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
