Tenured & Valued Payroll Function | Inclusive & Supportive Leadership | Structured Career Progression
A high-performing organisation recognised for its exceptional service across a portfolio of instantly recognisable brands. With a significant footprint across ANZ, its tenured and experienced workforce supports a customer base with varied and unique requirements.
Payroll is intrinsic to operational efficiency and workflow within this complex, multi-site business. Their Group Payroll Manager is a dedicated, caring leader with a proven track record of team stability and operational excellence. They foster a supportive and collaborative environment where expertise is valued, and ideas and innovation are encouraged.
This is a rare opportunity to join an established team within a business that recognises the importance of customer service, effective payroll delivery and compliance.
A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Payroll Officer to join a stable, well-structured payroll team, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of weekly and monthly pay cycles across Australia and New Zealand.
Working within a multi-jurisdictional environment of scale and complexity, you will gain exposure to a range of employment instruments, statutory reporting requirements and recognised payroll and HR systems.
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing while providing support and mentorship to junior team members. In addition, you will drive the timely resolution of payroll queries and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
You will be a motivated payroll professional looking to advance your career within an inclusive environment offering genuine scope for internal progression. Naturally inquisitive and solutions-focused, you will demonstrate the initiative to investigate and resolve complex payroll and compliance discrepancies.
You will bring strong technical capability and knowledge of ANZ payroll legislation, ideally gained within a complex, multi-site organisation. Prior exposure to iChris/Chris21 is preferred, alongside strong Excel skills and the ability to reconcile, interrogate and analyse payroll data.
An outstanding communicator, you will be confident building effective relationships with employees, managers and stakeholders at all levels, bringing professionalism, discretion and a genuine commitment to customer service.
This is a rare permanent opportunity within a payroll function that is both visible and vital to the organisation, working alongside a highly capable and inspiring leader. Your contribution will be genuinely valued, with meaningful opportunities for learning, development and career progression.
An ideal next step for an experienced Payroll Officer seeking greater responsibility, exposure to higher-level duties and the opportunity to contribute ideas and innovation within an environment of continuous improvement.
