As our Payroll Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments, compliance with legislation, and delivery of high-quality service to employees and stakeholders. You’ll provide leadership, guidance, and support to the payroll team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain strong internal controls. This is a full-time maximum term contract for 9-10 months. Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review and approve payroll runs, reconciliations, and adjustments. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and company policies. Supervise, coach, and develop payroll team members, allocating workload and monitoring performance. Act as the first point of escalation for payroll enquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and processes, including process documentation and feedback. What You’ll Bring Minimum of five years’ experience in payroll, with proven leadership experience managing a team of five or more payroll professionals. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation requirements. Experience with payroll systems (preferably Chris21, UKG, and Workday).
