We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician. You will play a key role in the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for our Canadian and U.S. teams. At the heart of operations, you will ensure data accuracy, compliance with applicable laws, and high-quality service to employees.

REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma (DEC) in finance, accounting, administration, or a related field;
  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing, ideally in a manufacturing environment;
  • Strong knowledge of payroll standards in both Quebec and the U.S.;
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is an asset;
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Advanced level in Excel;
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now;
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the full weekly payroll cycle for approximately 650 employees (preparation, processing, and validation);
  • Manage the Time and Attendance module and process special payments;
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee data;
  • Apply payroll-related legal and regulatory standards in both Canada and the United States;
  • Process tax remittances, including U.S. tax management;
  • Issue Records of Employment and complete year-end tasks (T4s, RL-1s, W-2s, etc.);
  • Respond to employee payroll-related questions with professionalism and accuracy;
  • Create and generate audit, verification, and statistical reports as needed;
  • Participate in special projects related to process improvement or system upgrades.
