Description Position Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Floor Lead supports daily warehouse operations by combining hands-on work with team guidance and coordination. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and on time, while assisting leadership with training, workflow direction, and process improvement. The Floor Lead acts as a resource for team members and helps drive productivity, quality, and efficiency across the operation. Key Duties and Responsibilities · Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. · Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. · Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor. · Assist with training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff. · Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals. · Ensure adherence to safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. · Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status. · Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product handling. · Identify and communicate operational issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies to leadership. · Assist in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors. · Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. · Check equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs. · Assist in resolving minor employee concerns and escalate more complex issues as needed. Requirements · High school diploma or GED required. · At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment. · Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred. · Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices. · Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills required. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
