PBS - Practitioner
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £40,000
Location: Chorley (Hybrid Working)
The role is working 40 hours a week with the CHW team, providing direct support to individuals within our Residential and Supported Living services. You will oversee the PBS provision across a number of services within the company.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Good knowledge of PBS theory / Practice, understanding current care practices in the fields of PBS, PCAS, RPI reduction, government initiatives and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete behaviour assessment tools and write reports to a high standard
  • Previous work experience post qualified
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in creative and person centred approaches to support individuals
  • A history of direct support experience with people with learning disabilities and/or Autism and behaviours that challenge
  • A history of identifying and reducing the use of restrictive practices
  • Knowledge in the application of mentoring and coaching Knowledge of safeguarding and safe practice
  • UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites
Responsibilities

The PBS Practitioner will be a part of the PBS Team based in the Head Office in Chorley, this role reports into the Head of Quality. You will work in collaboration with individuals and colleagues to develop and implement personalised support plans that meet their needs and helps them to improve their independence and life skills. As part of this role, you will be required to travel to our services, providing inhouse support, as well as working from the office.

  • Support with staff training and development
  • Complete functional behaviour assessments
  • Devise PBS plans and reports
  • Implementation of the behaviour support plans and practice workshops
  • Provide reports interpreting data, providing feedback to enhance practice
  • Incident Analysis, Trend Analysis and Debriefs
  • Work in collaboration with the operations and business development team to support during assessment and transition of new individuals
  • Developing and leading on care practice improvement initiatives
