You’ll manage our team to provide person-centred and strengths-based support to our customer (let's call them J) and help them reach their full potential. J has complex needs including a learning disability and autism. J is a super intelligent, gentle and calm young man who needs our dedicated and positive team to help him reach his full potential. J has some sensory processing difficulties, is hypersensitive to sound and wears ear defenders to help him manager his sensitivity. When stressed or anxious, J can display behaviours that challenge us, and we need you to take the time to get to know him, be caring, understanding, reassuring and positive. As part of our team, you’ll help J overcome his barriers to help him lead a fulfilling and meaningful life to reach his true potential. What you’ll do Helping J overcome barriers and help them lead a fulfilling and meaningful life and reach their true potential Supporting J using Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion through person centred support. Motivating, directing, guiding, coaching and supporting your team to work with our customers. Monitoring our customer’s mental and physical health to identify any signs of deterioration and take positive risk management to their health and wellbeing. Be part of one of the UK’s top 10 Great Places to Work! You have Experience in CQC Regulated services, with a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent. Worked as a Senior Support Worker, leading support for people with complex needs, or behaviours of distress. A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to X's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us. Great people management and motivation skills, bringing colleagues together to share information, best practice and fostering creativity. Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues. To help J get out and about, it would be great if you could drive but this is not essential. The practical bits You’ll work on a rota basis; 15-hour shifts between 7am and 10pm but this means plenty of days off! there will be a requirement to complete some sleep-in shifts and on call duties, but this is paid in addition to your standard rate. Able to use technology to update create and update support plans, communicate with colleagues and complete online learning. We’ll make sure you have a fantastic induction with ongoing learning and support. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check to do this job, which we pay for.
