Description We are hiring a PC Depot Technician I to support our IT asset management operations. This is a hands-on, logistics-driven role where you'll spend most of your time imaging laptops, preparing hardware for deployment, tracking inventory, and shipping equipment to end users. You’ll also assist with receiving incoming assets, documenting configurations, and maintaining asset records across client environments. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in gaining experience in IT support, hardware configuration, and lifecycle management- not just behind a screen, but in the physical movement, prep, and handling of IT equipment. Key Responsibilities Provisioning: Perform imaging, backups, software installations, light hardware repair, and MDM tasks based on client-specific baselines and configurations. Assist with hardware setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Support inventory tracking and asset management of IT equipment and accessories throughout the device lifecycle. Execute standard data security procedures during device imaging and provisioning. Provide first-level support for common hardware and software issues. Collaborate with the IT team to fulfill client deployment requirements and improve service delivery. Document imaging processes, configuration steps, and technical procedures for consistency and efficiency. Coordinate logistics including receiving, shipping, and tracking of IT assets through R3's ITAM Depot. Contribute to maintaining and updating SOP documentation for client environments. Identify and suggest improvements to client asset workflows and ITAM services based on day-to-day experience. Assist business engagement teams in promoting a healthy inventory lifecycle model for client needs. Maintain a knowledge base of hardware-related issues, builds, and configurations. Participate in ongoing learning to stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications U.S. Citizenship (required for federal client compliance) A minimum of one technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+), OR an Associate’s degree in Computer Science/IT, OR currently pursuing a degree in a related field Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and familiarity with logistics or inventory workflows Technologies & Tools Operating Systems: Windows (required), macOS/iOS (preferred) Applications: Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite User Management: Active Directory (account provisioning, password resets, permissions) Device Imaging & Management: Imaging tools (e.g., MDT, SCCM), disk encryption, backup and restore procedures MDM Solutions: Experience with tools like JAMF, Intune, or similar platforms Hardware Support: Memory upgrades, hard drive replacements, device setup and repairs Basic Networking Knowledge: IP addressing, DHCP, DNS (preferred) Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication Customer service mindset with a proactive approach Ability to follow detailed procedures and documentation Adaptability in fast-paced, changing environments Strong documentation habits and attention to process consistency Ability to lift and move computer hardware and related equipment as needed Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) Eagerness to learn and pursue certifications or technical training Why join our winning team? The salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000/year. The base salary range for this position is an estimate and may vary depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, experience, certifications, and skillset, as well as internal equity and business considerations. This range reflects base pay only and does not include bonuses, incentives, benefits, or other forms of compensation that may be offered as part of the total compensation package.
