JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatrics, hospital medicine, and outpatient care, with a strong understanding of the needs of patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments. This role is vital in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care while promoting their comfort and well-being.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare settings such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, PICU, OR, inpatient units, clinics, and outpatient facilities is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of geriatrics and hospital medicine is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.

  • Help with mobility assistance, including transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Support patients during therapy sessions or rehabilitation activities as needed.
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments or maintaining patient records.
