DESCRIPTION This role requires an engineer who is not afraid to take on new challenges and knows how to balance creativity with practicality. You will work with members of the cross-functional engineering team to define and implement custom hardware that drives our prototype platforms. You will convert high level feature requests and challenging technical requirements to realizable designs, while balancing implementation tradeoffs to build complex hardware that live up to high expectations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS degree in EE or related field Experience with schematic capture tools, such as Eagle, Altium, or Cadence and PCB layout on complex multi-layer boards Experience with hands-on bringup and testing of PCBs with analog sensors, ADCs, FPGAs and using standard lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, multimeters etc.) Experience designing or simulating circuits on PCBs or in ICs PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MS or PhD degree in EE or related field 10+ years of industry experience in Electrical Engineering Strong Electrical Engineering background with good understanding of fundamentals of analog and mixed signal design, digital design, communication interfaces Proficiency in rapid prototyping of circuits, debugging noise pickup, and experience with challenging designs and debugs Experience with PCB layout extractions and circuit simulation using LTspice, Spectre, or similar Experience with automating data collection, scripting using Python or MATLAB Strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
