QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in soldering techniques, including through-hole, SMT, and rework/reflow soldering.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity for precise handling of small components.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in soldering work.
  • Knowledge of soldering materials, fluxes, and tools, and their appropriate use.
  • Familiarity with soldering equipment and the ability to operate and maintain it effectively.
  • Understanding of electronic components and their functions.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve soldering issues.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and process feedback.
  • Strong time management skills to meet production deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Certification in IPC-A-610 is an asset
  • Must be a team player
Responsibilities
  • Inspect finished products for soldering defects or quality issues, performing rework or repairs as needed
  • Replace fine pitch SMT components [ QFN, QFP, BGA] on PCB using microscope.
  • Repair and troubleshoot TH/SMT components on the board
  • Operate and maintain soldering equipment’s including soldering irons, hot air guns, soldering stations, hot plates.
  • Prepare and maintain all repair tools by cleaning, fluxing and tinning soldering tips for optimal performance.
  • Do first article and final inspection as and whenever required
  • Program and perform regular inspections on SMT/TH components, PCBs, and final assemblies using various testing equipment (e.g., AOI, X-ray inspection, and functional testing)
  • Read Assembly Drawings and follow all steps and procedures
