Description

Victoria Road Surgery, in collaboration with our Primary Care Network (PCN), is seeking a motivated and experienced Prescribing Pharmacist to support patient care across the network on a self-employed basis. This is a flexible and rewarding role with a focus on improving patient outcomes across multiple practices.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months initially
  • Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Rate: £28 per hour
  • Mainly remote working, with occasional on-site attendance at network practices for clinics or collaborative work

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct medication reviews to ensure safe and effective prescribing
  • Perform medicine reconciliation and manage repeat prescriptions
  • Update patient records and correspondence as required
  • Support with medication issuing
  • Assist practices with QOF, IIF, and Eso targets
  • Collaborate with GPs, pharmacists, and practice staff across the PCN to optimise patient care

Requirements

  • Independent Prescribing Pharmacist qualification
  • Experience in primary care or community pharmacy
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary PCN team
