Working in a dynamic environment, the Sequencing and Scheduling Business Change Manager sits within the People Campaign Management Team, responsible for the activities, tasks and outputs identified to address the workforce challenge.The role is integral to the team’s function, managing the planning and scheduling of all projects, activities, and tasks to ensure that the People Campaign delivers its outputs and outcomes.
This position is advertised at 37 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION

On a day-to-day basis, the Sequencing and Scheduling Business Change Manager will work in a fast paced environment, balancing workload in a multi-project environment and undertaking effective sequencing to minimise conflicts and delays and optimising resource allocation.

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks that contribute to the successful running of the People Campaign schedule, including, but not limited to:

  • Planning, developing and maintaining the overall people campaign schedule – populating it with all projects, phases and milestones and key activities to achieve the campaign’s objectives.
  • Continuously monitoring any changes in business requirements and amending the schedule as needed.
  • Ensuring the campaign’s projects, tasks and activities are aligned and sequenced appropriately to meet business objectives and deliverables on time.
  • Tracking progress against the campaign schedule using different tools and scheduling and sequencing software.
  • Ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently across the campaign.
  • Scheduling updates in accordance with the governance structure.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify the benefits the campaign is expected to deliver.
  • Conducting variance analysis to ensure that deviations from schedule and root causes are understood and appropriate corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensuring the timely production of reports and updates to senior management.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
