Description
* Patient Monitoring: Conduct continuous telemetry monitoring and expert assessments for complex medical-surgical, post-surgical, or stepdown cardiac patients. * Clinical Care: Administer medications, manage intravenous drips, perform wound care, and manage airways, including prioritizing care for patients with high-acuity needs. * Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and support staff to develop, implement, and update care plans. * Safety & Advocacy: Ensure patient safety through precise documentation, recognizing subtle condition changes, and advocating for patient rights. * Education: Educate patients and their families regarding disease management, treatments, and discharge planning.    Requirements: * License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Virginia or compact state. * Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of acute care experience, preferably in a PCU, Stepdown, or ICU setting. * Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) are required. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is often required. * Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems (such as Epic) and cardiac rhythm interpretation. * Education: Diploma or Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN; BSN is often preferred).    Equal Opportunity Employer: ATC Healthcare Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
