POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Engineer to join our team. The PDI Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment leaving our facility meets our quality standards and is ready for customer use. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our equipment, as well as maintaining customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the powered access or plant industry preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
  • Relevant certifications or training in equipment maintenance and repair is preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections on a variety of powered access machinery including scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers.
  • Conduct thorough checks on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural components to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues identified during inspections, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly, including inspection reports and work orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as sales and service to prioritise equipment deliveries and ensure timely completion of inspections.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as safety regulations and guidelines.
