• Excellent French and English skills (oral and written)
• College diploma in special education or university degree in psycho-education or a related field
• Diploma in early childhood education (ECE) from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology, t is an asset
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with children (pre-school, primary and junior levels)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, respectful, and diplomatic communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Proven experience in working with special needs children
• Strong work ethic and effective time management skills
• Independent and reliable team player, flexible with the ability to work in a demanding environment and to transition easily depending on the situation
• Proven effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
