PE/SPORT COACH AND TEACHING ASSISTANT APPRENTICESHIPS

Our immensely passionate team collaborates closely with local schools and other education-based organisations to provide distinctive apprenticeship experiences. We are actively seeking individuals who aspire to become Physical Education Practitioners/Coaches and Teaching Assistants to join our PE, Sport, and Education apprenticeships.
This presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, acquiring valuable skills for working with children through hands-on experience and support. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Level 2: Grade 2 or above in Maths and English at GCSE is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 3: Grade 4 or above in Maths and English is desirable but not essential.
  • Level 4: Grade 4 or above in Maths and English is essential. A previous sport/teaching assistant/childcare qualification is necessary.
  • Level 5: Grade 4 or above in Maths and English is essential. A previous sport/teaching assistant/childcare qualification is necessary.
    The L4 and L5 programmes require candidates to have completed a substantial amount of time working or volunteering with children (minimum 6 months). Leadership experience in the field, coupled with prior skills and knowledge, is required for a confident entry to these programmes.

    Salary: minimum £7.55 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and coaches to conduct enjoyable, inclusive, and engaging PE lessons, while supervising and supporting children to ensure their safety and foster physical and emotional development.
  • Assist teachers in planning and executing learning activities, both within and outside the classroom.
  • Support students’ social needs by promoting and modelling positive behaviour.
  • Work alongside teachers to monitor individual progress, achievements, and development, aiming to help students reach their highest potential.
  • Contribute to the delivery of extra-curricular activities and clubs.
  • Establish positive communication with teachers and parents to build a strong rapport and ensure collaborative support for students.
