Role Overview A prestigious tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join its advanced surgical and critical care team. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care to pediatric patients undergoing a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures while contributing to teaching, research, and clinical governance. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive anesthesia care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing elective and emergency procedures Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient history, surgical needs, and perioperative risk Monitor and manage patients throughout the perioperative period, including post-anesthesia recovery Supervise and mentor junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows Participate in pediatric code blue and critical care response teams Contribute to departmental teaching, simulation training, and quality improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with SCFHS regulations and hospital policies Engage in clinical research and continuing medical education Qualifications & Requirements Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Anesthesiology Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution Board-certified (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent) Minimum 2–5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric anesthesia Eligible for Consultant classification by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage Strong communication and crisis management skills Preferred Attributes Experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care settings Familiarity with advanced monitoring and anesthesia technologies Commitment to patient safety, family-centered care, and multidisciplinary collaboration Interest in academic teaching or pediatric anesthesia research Salary: 80000 - 90000 SAR Per month
