What will your day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)? Working one-on-one with a child or adolescent with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teaching children and adolescents with ASD to learn to talk, play and make friends. Teaching children and adolescents with ASD how to complete daily activities independently. Teaching children and adolescents coping skills to reduce disruptive behavior. Continuously taking electronic data to show the client’s daily progress One-on-one coaching and feedback from a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Your expert supervisors are on sight at the clinic to provide instruction, feedback and answer any questions you have! What will you do as a BT? Provide one-on-one teaching to children and adolescents with ASD Provide safe environment for clients with constant supervision Interact with clients in a positive, therapeutic manner Follow the clinic-wide schedule for daily events (e.g., circle time, snack) Implement treatment plans to learn new skills and decrease disruptive behavior under the supervision of the client’s BCBA Actively listen to your supervisor’s feedback, and modify behavior based on constructive feedback Collect accurate data on client behaviors electronically Update caregivers on the client’s daily progress at pick-up Create personal goals and review ethics with you supervisor monthly Develop learning materials for clients and providing breaks for other BTs when you are not assigned to a client Maintain confidentiality for all client Complete assigned trainings to further knowledge on ABA in addition to the initial BT training. Comply with the Tidal Clinic policies and procedures. Work Location: Greenville, NC (Some travel within Greenville to different locations may be required.) Closing Date: Ongoing Requirements 18 years or older High School Diploma or Equivalent Pass a background check Must be able to lift 50 pounds Preference will be given to individuals in the human services field, with experience working with young children, and/or with experience working with individuals with autism. Responsibilities
