Description We are a growing pediatric dental practice in Queen Creek seeking a skilled and upbeat Pediatric Dental Assistant who loves working with children and thrives in a team-oriented environment. This is a part-time position with a clear pathway to full-time for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Assist hygienist and doctor during preventive and restorative procedures Monitor nitrous oxide patients Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos Prepare and sterilize operatories following OSHA and CDC guidelines Use behavior guidance techniques (Tell-Show-Do, positive reinforcement, distraction) Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and post-op care Maintain accurate charting in dental software (Open Dental preferred) Support efficient patient flow and on-time scheduling Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using dental software (Open Dental or similar) Strong understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols Skilled in taking digital X-rays and impressions Familiarity with behavior management techniques (e.g., Tell-Show-Do, voice control, distraction) Knowledge of dental terminology and pediatric procedures Attention to detail and ability to multitask Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude Requirements Arizona dental assisting credentials Current CPR certification (or within 60 days of hire) Radiography certification (or within 60 days of hire) Pediatric experience preferred Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills with children and parents Bilingual (Spanish) a plus Join our dedicated team of dental professionals, and contribute to the oral health and well-being of children in a supportive and caring environment.
