SUMMARY

The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time faculty position at CHRISTUS Children’s. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The rank of the appointment will be determined by the candidates’ credentials and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD/DO degree.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).
  • Board certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage; consultations and co-management of sub-specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients; pediatric sedation; teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff; active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities; and protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement.
