Appalachian Mountain Health ("AMH"), a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a pediatric experience to join our exceptional clinical team. This position will practice at our Asheville NC Clinic location. You will also provide care to general primary care/family medicine patients as needed. AMH provides comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to all, including low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations, at six locations throughout Western North Carolina. Our NP/PAs work closely with physicians, other advanced practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care. AMH’s mission - to provide culturally competent, high-quality healthcare to the medically vulnerable population in western North Carolina - is rooted in a primary care and preventive services medical home model with fees for services adjusted on the basis of a patient’s ability to pay. Pediatric-focused Nurse Practitioner who will also provide care to general primary care/family medicine patients as needed. Current North Carolina PA-C or NP license. CAQ. CPR certification. At least one year of experience in a primary care setting functioning at the full extent of training and licensure Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently. High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve AMH's mission.
Responsibilities
