Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) – a division of Lifemark Employment Type: Part - Time/ Casual hours available Location: Whitby - Durham Region, ON Grassroots Opportunity! Lifemark’s Home and Community Care division, Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) is looking for a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide services to pediatric clients focusing on fine motor development. This is a grassroots opportunity as it allows for the successful applicant to participate in program development, creating tailored interventions that meet the needs of the pediatric community. OT Responsibilities: * Provide private Occupational Therapy services to pediatric client’s in-person and/or virtually * Provide direct treatment and consultation, both individually and in small groups * Provide occupational therapy assessment to identify strengths, challenges, and therapeutic objectives * Plan, organize and implement occupational therapy sessions tailored to each child’s behavioral, sensory, developmental, and social needs * Assign care plan, and provide supervision and monitoring of occupational therapy assistants when appropriate * Effectively communicate information by providing education to client/caregivers * Complete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to assessment findings, care plans, progress and discharge summaries according to CAR, the referral source and COTO standards using EMR technology * Participate in program development and evaluation Requirements: * Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (required) * Experience working within a community setting is an asset but new graduates are welcome * Ability to work independently and as part of an inter-professional team * Ability to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlines * Excellent oral, written and report writing skills * Proficiency with computers * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills * Reliable transportation is required for this position Visit us on http://www.car-rehab.com Apply today!
