REQUIREMENTS

• A university degree in Occupational Therapy
• Eligible to register with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC

· Provide comprehensive assessments for clients’ ages 1-18, with a wide range of concerns including feeding, gross motor, fine motor, visual motor, sensory and self-care.
· Provide goal-directed 1:1 therapy sessions, consultations and education to families and clients’, to assist clients to maximize their function and participation in identified areas.
· Maintain communication with clients and families in order to foster optimal progress for the client through methods such as establishing collaborative and therapeutic relationships.
· Provide parent training on topics including feeding, sleeping, and sensory issues.
· Prepare detailed progress reports, funding letters, and recommendations for parents/teachers and other agencies.
· Recommendations for adaptive equipment and aids to facilitate function in school and home.
· Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and teaching to behavioral interventionists.
