Description

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking Pediatric Palliative Care Physicians to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.
Candidates should be experienced in providing specialized care to infants, children and adolescents living with serious, complex or life-limiting illnesses. The selected candidates will join an interdisciplinary team and support both patients and families across inpatient, outpatient and home settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, family-centered care for pediatric patients with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions
  • Provide expert consultation on symptom management, including pain, nausea, agitation, fatigue and other complex symptoms
  • Facilitate communication around goals of care, advanced care planning and decision-making in complex medical situations
  • Collaborate with pediatric subspecialties, intensive care teams, oncology, neurology, cardiology, and others to integrate palliative care into broader treatment plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MD or DO
  • Board eligible/certified in specialty
  • Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
