Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Bethany Children's Health Center - Bethany, OK 73008 Position Type: Occasional Education Level: Graduate Degree Travel Percentage: None Job Purpose: Physical Therapist: evaluate and establish goals for patients to maximize function and movement, minimize physical limitations, and increase independence and participation using therapeutic techniques, equipment, and opportunities. This position instructs and educates patients and families about therapy programs and use of devices and aids. Physical Therapist Assistant: implements treatment programs under the guidance and supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This position strives to maximize function and movement, minimize physical limitations, and increase independence and participation of each child through providing therapeutic techniques, equipment, and opportunities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Physical Therapist: Duty Percent of Time Upon provider referral, performs patient evaluation and develops specific individualized treatment plan including long and short term goals that are measurable and objective. 20% Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize child’s performance. 50% Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team, performs timely and accurate documentation, and stays up to date on the most recent physical therapy techniques through research and CE 15% Evaluates need, orders, and/or fabricates appropriate therapeutic equipment as indicated by patient need. 10% Participates in staff trainings, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities 5% Physical Therapist Assistant: Duty Percent of Time Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize child’s performance. 50% Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team; performs timely and accurate documentation and stays up to date on the most recent Physical Therapy techniques through research and CE. 20% Helps identify need, orders, and/or fabricates appropriate therapeutic equipment as indicated by patient need. 15% Participates in staff trainings, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities. 10% Other job duties as assigned. 5% Qualifications: Physical Therapist: Education: Graduate of accredited school of Physical Therapy. Experience: Pediatric experience preferred. License/Certification/Credential: Physical Therapy License from the state of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with temporary license. Physical Therapist Assistant: Education: Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Experience: Pediatric experience preferred License/Certification/Credential: Physical Therapist Assistant License from State of Oklahoma or proven eligibility for licensing within 3-6 months of employment with temporary license.
