Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is hiring Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for a long-term outpatient clinic assignment at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock. This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy patient education, preventive care, and building lasting connections with children and their families. Start Date: June / July Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift Hours: 40 hours per week (typically 8-hour shifts) Contract Length: Up to 1 year with additional extension options Location: Shiprock, NM Facility Info: https://www.ihs.gov/navajo/healthcarefacilities/shiprock/ What You’ll Do Provide direct patient care in a pediatric outpatient/ambulatory setting Perform triage, patient assessments, and care coordination Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments Assist providers with exams and minor procedures Educate families on wellness, preventive care, and treatment plans Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (ADN or BSN required) Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory Minimum of 2 years of recent pediatric outpatient, clinic, or ambulatory care experience required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start) Experience administering pediatric immunizations and routine screenings preferred Previous experience with Indian Health Services (IHS), Tribal Health, or underserved populations preferred Strong patient education, communication, and organizational skills What We Offer Competitive compensation Medical, dental, and vision benefits PTO, sick time, and paid holidays Split compensation to include Per Diem pay for housing and incidentals Consistent Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends) Travel and local candidates welcome Additional Details Fully onsite role Clinic serves pediatric patient population Credentialing process may take up to 90 days Additional Duties Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
