MASTER’S DEGREE IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY, ACTIVE SLP LICENSE AND 1+ YEAR OF SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified in Pediatrics to support K-12 students in a Niagara Falls, NY school setting. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy services tailored to students developmental needs throughout the contract school year (CSY).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students across all grade levels K-12
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Providing intervention strategies that enhance communication skills and promote academic success
  • Participating in professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging research

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Valid New York State certification or licensure for school-based SLP services
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in an educational environment
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development from early childhood through adolescence
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
