Either three 12-hour shifts OR one 12-hour and three 8-hour shifts across the week for an average of 36 hours per week. Rotating weekend, overnight, and holiday coverage. Learn more about pediatric imaging and the variety of ultrasounds services offered through our department! Responsibilities: Covers call and off-shifts on a rotational basis. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures to assist in a patient’s medical diagnosis. Displays knowledge of equipment operations, anatomy, and scanning techniques resulting in optimized image data/documentation. Documents and considers patient history, laboratory data, and physical findings. Ensures all exams are properly coded and networked through appropriate systems, and ensures all charges are correct for exams performed. Assists with training staff, student sonographers, and physicians. May be responsible for High Level Disinfection of devices, supplies, and/or equipment. Demonstrates ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. Completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required, or RDMS registered. RDMS registered or registry eligible. Must have completed Physics portion of registry. 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: RDMS registered or registry eligible. Must obtain RDMS in Pediatric Ultrasound within 24 months of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities
