Baby Builders Pediatric Therapy Services, a private agency devoted to serving children birth to three and their families in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, is currently looking for a skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Therapist to provide home based services for developmentally delayed children from birth to adolescence.

We are seeking to add a qualified and dynamic Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist as part of our collaborative team. We offer a competitive salary. New Grads are welcome!
BB’s client therapy services are highly personalized. Therapists will be engaged in inter-
disciplinary teams and receive on-going training. SLP therapists will focus on the treatment of children with Down Syndrome, CP, autistic spectrum, gross motor delays, and orthopedic rehab.

SKILLS:

  • Must be able to work as part of interdisciplinary clinic
  • Effective administration of Rossetti, and PLS-5 assessment tools.
  • Imperative to be able to build rapport with patients, their families, and caregivers
  • Effective emotional and verbal skills with patients
  • Availability to scheduled patients on demand
  • Familiarity with managing client folders and reporting using Google Docs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed to practice Speech Language Therapy in California
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Certified CPR
  • TB Test
  • Experience working with infants/toddlers and young adults is a plus
  • Spanish fluency is desirable
  • New Grads are welcome

Responsibilities
  • Providing developmental assessments in a play-based approach for a caseload of children ages birth to five (5) in the home environment and outpatient clinic
  • Provide speech and language therapy (individual and group treatment) in a play-based approach to clients whose age is birth to five.
  • Provide guidance to SLPA in the implementation of approved treatments for speech, language, fluency, articulation, expressive and receptive language delays, and hearing.
  • Complete biannual progress reports using standardized developmental assessment tools to record delays in developmental milestones and setting goals to reach milestones.
  • Provide parent education regarding speech improvement strategies for in-home therapy clients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary team that includes Child Development Specialists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, Physicians and family
  • Support and facilitate each child’s progress through developmental milestones, increase opportunities for inclusion and enhance trusted caregiver-child relationships
  • Utilize effective and professional communication skills
  • Submit documentation and signatures on a semi-monthly basis
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Complete Progress Reports and Daily Notes
  • Participate in Monthly Reflective Supervision
